Indigenous people's from the permafrost coastal plains of Alaska to the southern mountains of Patagonia have inhabited the Americas since time immemorial....WE ARE STILL HERE! From the early massacres of Borinquen, to the current resistances of tribal nations and tribal people's of the entire Western Hemisphere...WE ARE STILL HERE!

This event is set to give a call to action and rally our Native and non-Native community to pressure our civic leaders to end the glorification of the Columbus holiday and honor Native Americans and other Indigenous people's.

We will also use this space and spirit to put pressure on the DC City Council to hold a hearing on making Indigenous People’s day an official DC holiday. As an urgent matter, a hearing to vote on the current legislation

B22-0503 - Indigenous Peoples' Day Amendment Act of 2017
